I am absolutely grateful for Dr. Rob’s highly professional treatment! He took the time to explain and answer all my questions, doubts, and concerns, and was also very personable. The pre-op visits made me feel comfortable about the upcoming procedure. The treatment by all the staff on the day of surgery was professional, efficient, and super friendly! He called me the day after surgery to check how I was feeling. When I missed the calls, he continued trying to reach me. Chalazion excision.
I had never liked my eyes, but as I got older, my eyelids began to droop, which made me feel quite self-conscious. It also started to bother me because I was losing part of my field of vision. I finally mentioned it to my ophthalmologist, who told me about Dr. van der Veen. I wasn’t very convinced about having surgery because I don’t like cosmetic procedures and was afraid my face would change. In the end, I decided to book a no-obligation consultation.

Ptosis correction with a frontalis suspension procedure.
I spent three years with a severely drooping upper eyelid (ptosis), leaving my eye almost closed. It lowered my self-confidence and forced me to wear dark glasses. Eyelid inflammation.
For years I had a smooth lump on the edge of my eyelid, where my eyelashes grew irregularly and irritated my cornea. Because I had previously had skin cancer removed from my face, I visited a dermatologist annually, who unfortunately did not recognise the skin cancer on my eyelid. I was then referred to Dr. van der Veen, a very kind, dedicated, and above all highly skilled doctor. During the procedure, a large part of my lower eyelid was removed and reconstructed. It healed beautifully. I am very happy that Dr. van der Veen is—and remains—my treating physician.
